What format are the videos in?
Unless otherwise noted , videos are in quicktime format using Photo- JPEG compression. This compression format is used by many of the top online stock companies because it is nearly universally compatible with most non-linear editing applications and it has an excellent compression to size ratio. After Effects templates are in .AEP format and can only be opened with a full version of After Effects.

What software is compatible with your files?
(except for After Effects Templates) Our backgrounds are compatible with any video editing software that has the ability to import quicktime animation files and can perform chroma key removals. Our backgrounds are known to work with Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Premiere Elements, Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Express, Sony Vegas, Newtek Video Toaster, Tri-Caster, wirecast and any other chroma key enabled video editor. We have also had clients who have used iMovie and Windows Movie Maker, but this is generally a little more difficult to setup because these editors are designed to be as simple as possible.

I need a file converted to something I can use, can you do that?
We would be happy to convert any file to whatever format you need (as long as we have the ability to compress using the format you need) free of charge. Also, if you need a file with the monitor green screens removed and would prefer an alpha version, just let us know. We generally don't offer these as downloads because the file sizes associated with pre-alpha footage is prohibitive.

Help! I downloaded my videos and they aren't opening in quicktime!
We use a compression on our videos that allows the animations to retain as much information as possible and allow you to use them in just about every editing program out there. The downside, is that the file sizes tend to be rather large. Sometimes, while a user is downloading a large file, the server or your internet service provider can reset causing the file to become truncated and not work. What is the resolution of your HD files? SD files?
HD files are rendered at 1920 x 1080 dimension and are compressed in Photo-JPEG format. Sd files are 720 x 480 Widescreen NTSC format compressed in Photo-JPEG format.

I don't have the bandwidth to download all the files I want, can you send me cd with the files?
Yes, simply email us with the files you would like on your cd and we will take care of getting a cd/DVD sent out to you. We offer free shipping in the continental united states.
